The Orbit is a great step up in LED technology. I have the e-gear/Brunton LED lights and the difference is amazing.
The e-gear/Brunton light are harsh at eye level.
This bright, diffused, white adjustable light is perfect for a tent. Top clip is 2 piece so it will hook on any attic or loop.
It can be knocked off if rocked hard. (One man bivy is tight quarters)
Adjustable output can be dimmed so eyes can adjust to night time with moon light or a night light for children.
For a camp light use the Apollo version. It will light up a nice 20ft circle when suspended overhead and dark.
Couple it with a good headlamp like the Mammut Lucido X-Zoom (Like having a search light on one’s head) and leave
the gas lantern at home.

Worked nicely as a beacon for locating the camp in the dark, and made for an excellent tent light. Effective design and the rheostat is a wonderful feature.

When I first saw the lantern, I was shocked at how small it is. My initial thought was that I had wasted my money and made mental notes on how to return the lantern. But then I unwrapped it and turned it on and I was surprised how much of a light output it has.
I absolutely love the dimmer switch. No need to get blinded again. Press and hold the power button until you find the brightness you need for the situation.
You can fit this light anywhere so there is never a need to leave this one behind for lack of space. Highly recommended for the minimalist or anyone else venturing out after dark.
Cannot vouch foor the battery life ssince I have not run a set of batteries down yet.

Super compact and light. Only one button, but can easily adjusts brightness to choose better illumination or longer battery life. Solid build. Very satisfied.
